thoughts on gathering is a glimpse into the rural design practice of Studio Raw Material. Based in the desert region of western India, the studio works with marble offcuts from the local stone industry. The film attempts to create a sense of place through quiet observation of the sounds, the landscape and the body around them. It celebrates the acts and ideas of ‘gathering’ - of people in leisure, and in the act of making.
